MT. LEMMON LOOP

Overview
This is a truly awesome adventure with awesome and adventure being the 2 biggest parts of this ride. It encompasses everything that offroading in Southern Arizona has to offer without pushing the limits or requiring great experience. It contains it all. The magnificent views of the Coronado National Forest, Redington Pass and the Santa Ritas. Followed up by exhilarating desert riding as you cut across the Foothills to reach the base of Mt Lemmon. To do this you need to navigate the trails running through the Saguaro Fields including their washes, scree slopes and canyons. Only then do you begin your climb up Mt Lemmon taking in the stunning scenery and awe inspiring switch backs to finally emerge out in the Alpine Splendor of Tucson’s Highest Mountain, The Mighty Lemmon. Have a break at the quaint shops of Summerhaven before descending back down and homeward bound.
The Ultimate
Turn this ride in to the Ultimate by adding on the gourmet experience of the Tanque Verde Ranch’s Cowboy Cookout. It really is the perfect end to the perfect day. The antithesis to the Perfect Storm. (Had to get a Marine Context in to the Desert somehow. For those who know me will know why.) Leave from and return to the splendor of one of the Country’s finest Dude Ranches just to round it all off.

Please Note: Every rental is required to have insurance, which costs $35 per vehicle. Add 3% for Forest Service Usage Fee.
What to Bring
- Driver must bring a valid ID
- We get a lot of sun in Southern Arizona so we always suggest packing your sunscreen even in winter
- Please wear long sleeves and long pants with closed-toed shoes, especially if you want to take a wander around our beautiful backyard
- You should bring plenty of water and trail type snacks and/or a packed lunch
Helmets and goggles are included.
How Safe is Riding the Trails?
Riding out on the trails is a fun and exhilarating experience but you do need to be careful and pay attention to what is around you. There are inherent risks involved with trail riding and common sense is a must. Prior to sending you out for your adventure, we will give you a thorough briefing as we want you to have nothing but a great and safe ride.
